The nonprofit Friends of English Avenue and the Captain Planet Foundation have joined forces to organize one of the biggest clean-up efforts in Atlanta’s history on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 in conjunction with Earth Day. 1,000 volunteers are expected to gather over the two-day event, which will include service projects, such as street clean-ups and beautification, as well as 5K and 1K Fun Runs through the English Avenue community.
